A lovely song is the Irish Wedding Song or the Irish wedding Blessing - not sure if that is the offical title of course. It is a waltz - always easy to dance to - and the words are as follows: There they stand, hand in hand, they've exchanged wedding bands. Today is the day they seal all their plans. And all we who love them, just want to say May God bless this couple who marry today. In good times, in bad times, in sickness and health may they know that riches aren't needed for wealth Wherever they travel, wherever they stay May God bless this couple who marry today.
This probably would be better for him to dance with his new bride rather than his mother though. There is another verse - if you're interested, contact me by email and I'll send the rest to you. I used to sing Irish trad music and if I can think of something better for mother/son dance, I'll let you know. Cheers - Tracey
